My previously thought in finding out about this … a contemplation I’m certain was shared by a lot of people … was WHY? Why redo a film that was done so well the initial time. All things considered, I went to the theater and tracked down an awesome, all around made film. I hadn’t perused anything about the film prior to seeing it and I went in contemplating whether they would refresh it to introduce day. They didn’t, however I feel that could have worked as well.
Examining the film with my twenty-something child, I raised the “why redo an almost wonderful film” question and his reaction was … for another age. Individuals his age were never going to see the 1961 variant in the theater and most could never see a 60 year old film by any means.
